How to write a Thesis
A step by step guide to extending your Spiritualist education
The fact that you are reading this booklet means you are considering taking one of the Spiritualists’ National Union’s advanced courses. This can be pretty daunting, especially if you have been out of education for some time. The purpose of this booklet is to help you, the student, to find answers to the questions you will have as you embark on this project.
It is important that you read through this booklet and make yourself familiar with the different chapters before you begin. Preparation is everything, so the more you do to prepare, the easier the task will be.
Because this is for advanced courses, you will have already done other courses leading to this thesis. During that journey you will have been impressed by a particular subject or event in history that you may wish to study in more detail. So what you produce now will be your subject that you have chosen and have a particular passion about. So the first step is already covered, your enthusiasm, your passion; the rest is technical details and this is where we, on Education, hope to help you.
Of course you will have the continuous support of your tutor but ultimately this is your work, your own creation if you like. This booklet is designed to support you along your way, looking at the introduction right through to the conclusion.
