The SNU has enjoyed charity status for some years. Now our Affiliated Churches with incomes of over £5,000 need to register with the Charity Commission as separate charities. The Charity Commission is the regulator of the charity sector.
The SNU is providing support to Churches to assist with the process of registering should they require it.
This hand book provides general guidance for Spiritualist Church committees about charity trusteeship and is intended to provide an overview. Committees are still responsible for checking the requirements of charity status themselves.
