How to raise funds and promote your Church or Centre
This booklet is designed to help Spiritualist organisations to raise funds and promote their Church or Centre. In a world that is constantly changing it is important that we keep up with the changing trends, especially technology, so that we entice the interests of the younger generations and maintain the current.
Enclosed are suggestions and success stories which have been used and were found to be successful. The key is to take ideas that have worked for others and to experiment with what works in your community. Never be discouraged if something doesn’t work the first time: it may be that you need to tweak the idea to suit rather than dismissing it straightaway and, as with all good things, they take time to take effect. Remember, these are suggestions and with your knowledge of your community you can adapt the following ideas to best suit your current and anticipated congregation.
The original idea for the publication came from the affiliated bodies of the SNU which wished to emulate the more successful Churches and Centres and help those that might need a bit more guidance. This edition is designed to spark the imagination of your Church or Centre members, to experiment and to draw in new attendees, appealing to a wider and younger audience.
