February 2019 saw the completion of Barbanell House, and newly created provision of accommodation for students and delegates attending courses and events at the Barbanell Conference Centre in Stafford. Freshly converted from a former office block, it now houses comfortable en-suite rooms, and a shared TV lounge and kitchenette to enable residents to socialise and discuss their day's learning experience.

SNU President Minister David Bruton said, "The builders have done a first rate job, and after staying there I can personally say how comfortable it is. Barbanell House will prove to be a superb facility for residential students and delegates in the future." The house is also close to the town centre, and a short bus or cab journey from the rail station.

The photographs show the new building work the opening of the centre and NEC members who were able to stay in Barbanell House for their meeting just days after its completion.
