SH1 - Spiritualist Healing

This course is the accreditation level academic element of the Healing Accreditation Scheme (HAS). It is the starting point for all healing mediums. If this course is studied as a stand-alone course it remains valid for five years from date of completion for entry to HAS. The course has the following nine sections:

  1. The History of Modern Spiritualism and the Development of the SNU.
  2. The Teachings of Spiritualism.
  3. Responsibilities of a Spiritualist Healing Medium.
  4. Healing Potential.
  5. Attunement and Holistic Potential.
  6. Healing Accreditation Scheme.
  7. Healing Code of Conduct.
  8. The Spiritualists' National Union.
  9. Trance Healing, Anatomy and Physiology.

Course: SH2 Spiritualist Healing

This course is the certificate level academic element for the CSNU(h). It is the second stage of development for all healing mediums. If this course is studied as a stand-alone course, it remains valid for five years from date of completion for CSNU(h). This course covers the following six sections:

  1. Principles of Spiritualist Healing
  2. The Role of the Passive Healing Medium
  3. Healing Organisation 
  4. Healing Upgrade
  5. Places for Healing
  6. Intention, Prayer and Alternative Absent Healing.

Healing Accreditation Scheme Training to become an SNU Healer

Joining the SNU Healing Accreditation Scheme

To become a SNU Trainee Healing Medium you must either be a member of a SNU affiliated Church, Kindred Body, Pioneer Centre or Individual Member of the SNU.

There are two types of trainee healing medium:

a. Supervised

b. Patient certified

A supervised trainee can be under the supervision of either a church or an individual member of the SNU who is also a registered accredited healing medium. Those who are church supervised will be appointed to the church healing group and under the supervision of either the healing group leader or a committee appointed trainer who is also a registered accredited healing medium.

Patient certified trainees receive their training online by an Education & Exponents committee appointed online trainer who is also an individual member and a registered accredited healing medium. All trainers, church, IM and online must have been registered accredited healing medium for a period of not less than one year.

Whereas supervised trainees have their logbooks signed by their supervisor, patient certified trainees have them signed by the patient.

Initial Fee for Registering as a Trainee Healer is:

Individual & Church Member
UK & Overseas Applicants (Ex Personal Accident Insurance) £80.00
UK Applicants (Inc Personal Accident Insurance) £85.00

PATHWAY TO BECOMING A SNU ACCREDITED HEALING MEDIUM

Requirements and training information

For Supervised Trainees the following applies:

  1. Become a member of a SNU Church and be invited to join their Healing group.

 OR 

  1. Become an Individual Member of the SNU sponsored by an Accredited Healing Medium who will oversee your training.
  2. Apply to SNU Head office to join the SNU Healing Accreditation scheme in order to receive your logbook and SH1 education course.
  3. Complete the 5 pre-healing sessions.
  4. Complete 50 practical healing sessions with a maximum of 2 per week.
  5. Complete and pass the SNU SH1 education course. (The SH1 course is included in the above registration fee).
  6. Attend 4 Training Days. Could be online or at District Council
  7. After the above is completed submit your logbook to the SNU Head office who will arrange for you to attend an upgrade assessment in your District.

For Patient Certified Trainees the following applies:

  1. Apply for SNU Individual Membership.
  2. Apply to join the SNU Healing Accreditation Scheme.
  3. Complete the 5 online pre-healing sessions.
  4. Complete 50 practical healing sessions with the patient signing your logbook with a maximum of 2 per week.
  5. Complete and pass the SNU SH1 education course. (The SH1 course is included in the above registration fee).
  6. Must attend all online training sessions or alternatively attend the SNU Education & Exponents committee course held at the Barbanell Centre at Stafford.
  7. Submit your logbook on completion of the above to the SNU Head office.
  8. Attend a DC or the Barbanell Centre for your upgrade assessment.

After all the above is complete you must apply for upgrade assessment and send the appropriate assessment fee of £36

Certificates (CSNU)

CSNU (h) - Healing

Before applying for this award, a candidate must be a Registered Accredited Healing Medium and have completed the SH2 (or H2 if completed after 31 Dec 18) education course. They will be issued with a logbook that contains the information required for the award including training sessions required to complete the criteria. The pre-FAB training sessions must be completed to the satisfaction of the trainer.

The Final Assessment is arranged by EEcom. A candidate must complete a private interview and an oral test of ten questions based on courses studied, 'Healing Code of Conduct' and knowledge of the SNU. The candidate must also give a prayer suitable for a Spiritualist public healing session and give healing to two patients (one by contact healing and one by distant healing), to last no more than twenty minutes. The candidate is also required to deliver a talk to a new Trainee Healing Medium about basic healing techniques from initial contact to completion (fifteen minutes).

Previous study required: Accredited Healing Medium, SH2/H2 course.

Diplomas (DSNU)

DSNU(H) - Healing

A candidate must hold the CSNU(h) and have completed the H3 education course with a grade B pass or higher. They will be issued with a logbook that contains the information required for the award including training information on the four pre-FAB training sessions required to complete the criteria. The training sessions must be completed to the satisfaction of the trainer.

The Final Assessment is arranged by EEcom which will include an oral test of ten questions based on the training undertaken and being a representative of the SNU. The candidate will also take part in an interview session, where they will be required to answer media-orientated questions in a succinct and accurate manner. The candidate will also give a talk (up to thirty minutes) suitable for a large public venue where the audience is a mix of medical professionals and/or complimentary therapists, followed by answering three questions posed by the assessors.

Registration Fee: £50.00

Final Assessment Fee: £40.00

All Final Assessment Boards for Diplomas must be arranged with, and carried out at the Arthur Findlay College.
