The SNU provides quality training and assessment to its Individual members who chose to attain accreditation and awards of the Union in specific disciplines.....

Awards may be achieved for demonstrating evidential mediumship, spiritual healing, public speaking, SNU administration, tutoring, Lyceum leadership and spiritual writing. SNU Accreditation in platform demonstration of mediumship and public speaking is available to SNU Church members also.

The SNU organises regional training throughout the UK and coordinates the many SNU tutors who help run the award schemes.

The SNU also gives acknowledgement through the long service and gold service awards presented to Spiritualists who have been of great service to SNU Spiritualism for a period of 25 or 50 years respectively.
