Can You Help with the SNU Website?

To produce a dynamic and successful website that works to promote the advancement and spreading of a knowledge of Spiritualism I seek help from a range of SNU Spiritualists.

One day, hundreds of thousands of people will enquire into Spiritualism by reading the words in our website. These people ought to be able to learn from it, not just to learn about the SNU but learn about our spiritual philosophy. If you know about the internet, you will understand that just telling people to study our courses and visit our churches is not sufficient, people want to learn in their own homes and see the information on their computers now. We have the knowledge and we should make it possible for them to inquire into us and, perhaps, they will become Spiritualists by reading what we present in or website.

Below is a list of website 'jobs'. Some are once only tasks, such as writing words for web pages, others are ongoing, for example, being available for answering emails. If you are able to assist and work for spirit in this way then please get in touch with me at perry@snu.org.uk.

It will be an immense task to try and encapsulate Spiritualism's philosophy and present it in an understandable way. But working as a team of volunteers I believe we can achieve something of great value to Spiritualism, an  information source that really does promote the religion and religious philosophy of Spiritualism.

Content		 Spiritualist's Knowledge Currently our website lacks Spiritualist information, it hardly mentions the science of Spiritualism, it's history or philosophy. We seek volunteers who can write about Spiritualism in a variety of styles that will appeal to different internet readers.
  Spiritual
Meaning		 Our philosophy about God, the spirit-world and our understanding of the spiritual nature of man. We seek volunteers who are able to write about these thing so that people seeking to learn and progress can learn from our website.
  Q & A There is a range of questions that often come up when people enquire into Spiritualism. We seek SNU members who can prepare written answer to such questions.
  How to.... People are interested in mediumship, healing and psychic development. For our website we seek writers to produce sensible, comprehensive and perhaps encouraging words of advice.
  Advice People turn to Spiritualism for specific advice; perhaps their child is seeing spirit people, perhaps they are being bothered by a spirit presence, or they wish to become a healer. We seek SNU members who can write words of advice for such instances to publish in our website.
  How to We seek educators and tutors who can offer sensible and safe words of advice to people who wish to develop their spiritual abilities.
Design Website appearance Our website has a basic, simple design and we seek experienced web-designers who can assist in improving its appearance. Currently, we use MS Sharepoint Designer to produce the site so help from people knowledgeable in MS Front-page and Sharepoint would be very welcome.
Graphics   It helps if information is presented in different ways, written and diagrammatically. We seek someone capable of producing web graphics to include on our website.
Photography   To enhance this website well produced photographs will be a great asset. We seek a voluntary photographer who will photograph SNU personnel, buildings and events, and perhaps provide other photographs that will add interest and colour.
     
Having well written and interesting reviews on our website will encourage people to buy
 and sample our Spiritualist and spiritual books, CD's and music.
Reviewers
 Books We ask for help from SNU Spiritualists to review books whose subject is Spiritualism, spiritual or related subject. Examples of suitable books for review can be found on the SNU's Psychic Press website.
  CD's If you have purchased education CDs from the Arthur Findlay Shop or CDs produced by SNU mediums and teachers then we would welcome your review of them. Shortly we will be providing for sale online a small selection of Spiritualism related CDs and reviews will be very helpful to encourage sales.
  Music If you have purchased spiritual music CDs from the Arthur Findlay Shop or similar music CDs produced by SNU members then we would welcome your review of them. Shortly we will be providing for sale online a small selection of Spiritualism related CDs and reviews will be very helpful to encourage sales.
 
As our website expands we will get many individual requests for help and advice, therefore we seek knowledgeable and trusted SNU members who can deal with such enquiries. We seek SNU members who will respond by email or perhaps telephone and offer individual advice and support.
Advice Mediumship We seek SNU award holders who can offer advice about mediumship matters.
  Healing We seek SNU award holders who can offer advice about Spiritualist healing.
  Who, when and where We seek SNU award holders who can advise people who are looking for a medium, healer, a Spiritualist church or other sources of advice and information.
Support Bereavement We seek SNU award holders who can offer support to people who seek specific Spiritualist bereavement support.
  Problem spirits We seek SNU award holders who can offer support to people who are experience difficulties with spirit.
     
On this website we have a small selection of Spiritualist 'classic' books that can be downloaded
 and read by the public.We seek volunteers who can help to expand the range of books that
 we have available for download.
This entails scanning books into your computer, having your optical character recognition program
convert the image to text and then thoroughly checking and correcting the file.
     
The SNU is in the process of planning an new international Spiritualist website to be called, www.snui.org.  The new site will provide information, about the religion, science and philosophy
of SNU Spiritualism translated into various languages.
