To be eligible for affiliation Lyceums must be conducted in line with
the Constitution for Spiritualists' Lyceums, contained in the First
Schedule to Bye-laws 'E' of the SNU, or such other constitution as may be
approved by the Central Committee of the SLU.

The objects of the Lyceum are
(1) To promote and advance the
religion and religious philosophy of Spiritualism, which is understood to
recognise the following Principles.
The Fatherhood of God
The Brotherhood of Man
The Communion of Spirit and the Ministry of Angels
The continuous existence of the human soul
Personal responsibility
Compensation & Retribution hereafter for all good & evil deeds done on
earth
Eternal progress open to every human soul
(2) To promote the study and practice of Spiritualism as a science, a
philosophy and a religion, and to establish and foster Lyceums for this
purpose.
(3) To stimulate the activities of Lyceums and
Spiritualist Churches, suitable provision for the social, cultural and
physical recreation of its members.
(4) To encourage Spiritualist Churches to recognise their responsibility
for the spiritual education and welfare of children and young people, and
their duty to establish Lyceums for this purpose.
(5) To ensure that Lyceums recognise and fulfil their
fundamental allegiance and loyalty to their parent churches.
(6) To secure that the training given in Lyceums shall be
on sound progressive lines and such as to promote a common loyalty to the
Spiritualist movement as a whole.
(7) To maintain the publication of the
Lyceum Banner,
the official publication of the Lyceum Union.
