Training to become an
SNU Spiritualist Healing Medium

Everything you need to know about training to be an SNU healer...

 

All Trainee Healing Mediums will normally spend around two years training, although training can be completed in no less than one year. During this time they undertake the formal training requirements of the SNU Healing Committee in accordance with the Code of Conduct & Healing and the Law. Trainees must pass the H1 – Foundation Healing Course, thus gaining theoretical knowledge, and during the training period have practical experience, under supervision, on all aspects of the healing group's work. After this training period Spiritualist Healing Mediums may apply for an upgrade assessment to become an Approved Spiritualist Healing Medium status.

 

Joining the SNU healing Mediums Training Scheme

 

You must be either be:

    A member of an SNU Church and have been invited to join their Healing Group,

    OR

    A full or provisional Individual Member of the SNU and sponsored by an SNU Approved Spiritualist Healing Medium or SNU International, who will oversee your training. Trainee Spiritualist Healing Mediums must be Full Individual SNU Members when applying to upgrade to Approved SNU Spiritualist Healing Medium status.

 

You must register with the SNU Healing Committee through the office at Redwoods before your period of training begins.

 

Initial Fee for Registering with the SNU Healing Committee:

    Full & Associate Members of an SNU Church, 31.50

    UK Full Individual Members of the the SNU, 31.50

    Eire Full Individual Members of the SNU, 39.50

     

    All UK & Eire Fees include Public Liability Insurance - Paid every 01st April annually.

     

    Non-UK Individual Members of the the SNU 23
    (Excludes Public Liability Insurance)

 

 

Spiritualist National Union :  Refund Policy

 

This policy applies to Education Courses and Course Notes, SNU Award fees, including PAS and CAAS, Final Assessment Boards, APL, rainee Spiritualist Healing Mediums Subscriptions and Upgrading Fees. As help is already given to those who are experiencing difficulties, for example extension to time limits, refunds will not be granted unless under exceptional circumstances. In such cases the applicant should apply direct to the Secretary of the relevant committee stating all details and the committee will make a decision. (the contact details of the Secretary can be found on the website www.snu.org.uk).

 

Applicants who have been granted a refund under exceptional circumstances and re-enrol cannot submit a second refund application within 24 months of their first application.

 

ALL applications for a refund must be made to the Secretary of the relevant committee who will inform the applicant of the decision of the committee. Should a refund be granted the Secretary will inform Head Office who will then arrange the refund payment. Refunds may attract a charge for the administration involved.

 

 

The Objectives of the Healing Training Scheme

 

To ensure that Spiritualist Healing Mediums registered with the SNU Healing Committee have undergone a procedure of training, education, experience and assessment, whereby they can demonstrate a level of knowledge and skill sufficient to attain an Approved Spiritualist Healing Medium status as determined by the SNU Healing Committee.

 

On satisfactory completion of training and an assessment, the trainee will be upgraded to Approved Healer status and possess the skill and practical experience needed for the practice of healing in the United Kingdom and within the SNU.

 

 

Requirements before you can apply for upgrading to Approved Healer Status:

 

  • Completion of 100 practical healing sessions. If spiritualist healing mediums attended practical healing sessions more than once a week they can receive up to a maximum of two signatures per week in their logbooks.
  • Passed, at A or B grade, the SNU Education Committee H1 Foundation Healing Course
  • Must attend 3 district review sessions which are arranged by the District Council Healing Sub-committees. Overseas students must attend these review session on-line through SNUi classrooms (held in English only) Or alternatively, must attend the SNU Healing Committee 2 Course at the Arthur Findlay College/Centre
  • Submission of a Logbook, that lists experience and Review Sessions attended
  • Submission of two patient references
  • After all the above is complete you must apply for upgrade assessment and send the appropriate assessment fee
