Trust Property Co-ordinator (TPC)

The trust Property Co-ordinator can give advice and support to SNU churches on a variety of church buildings and land related issues.

The Trust Property Co-ordinator (TPC) reports directly to the National Executive Committee (NEC). The TPC gives advice and assistance on trusts and other matters relating to property. TPC duties include :-
  • Maintain a register of property in trust with the SNU.
  • Ensure the safe custody of all trust deeds, title deeds and records of property.
  • Deals with the purchase or sale of property.
  • Appraises applications by churches for loans, grants or other financial assistance and makes recommendations.
  • Appoints qualified persons to the National Panel of Trustees and Wardens
  • Approves the appointment of trustees
  • Receives and checks the trust property reports from churches, trustees and wardens.

The TPC gives advice and practical assistance, to all Churches in Trust, on problems affecting property and buildings. The TPC helps with requests for financial or legal advice, advice regarding major repair works to be done within churches, and with other professional assistance.

The TPC is the representative of the SNU in relation to property in sole, joint or appointing trust and property in the Union's absolute ownership.
