The Healing Committee reports directly to the National Executive Committee (NEC) and its chairman has a seat on the NEC. The Healing Committee has responsibility for all matters in connection with Spiritualist Healing within the SNU and its affiliated Churches and Centres. The Healing Committee duties include :-

The Healing Committee is responsible for the registration and administration of Spiritualist healers within the SNU. It promotes and encourages the practice, study, and investigation into the art and science of spiritual healing. Where it can, it co-operates with the medical profession and encourages Spiritualist Churches to run Healing Groups in accordance with SNU guidelines. All the registered SNU Healers must follow the SNU Healing Code of Conduct. Copies are available for £1, order from the Healing Office. The Healing Committee is assisted at local level by 'District Healing Committees,' one in each of the 14 regions of the SNU. At district councils a Healing leader is elected annually and the appointed person organises the local Healing Committee. |
