Education Committee


The Education Committee reports directly to the National Executive Committee (NEC) and its chairman has a seat on the NEC. The Education committee administers the education programme of the SNU and is responsible for the day-to-day running of the various courses available. The Education Committee duties include :-
  • Arrange correspondence courses and group study to prepare students for the prescribed examinations.
  • Formulate policy for the Education Committee staff and students.
  • Monitor, maintain and revise SNU education courses.
  • Set fees for courses and examinations.
  • Publish, from time to time, education publications, the syllabus and study materials.
  • Appoint course organisers, examiners, invigilators, tutors and assessors.
  • Consider and report on academic research and study submitted in the form of a thesis by students applying for the Fellowships.
The Education Committee organises and administers a range of educational programmes that enable students to learn more of the religion and practice of Spiritualism.

A range of education courses exist to teach those who wish to become mediums, speakers, healers, lecturers, writers or administrators. Students may take a combinations of courses and assessments that lead to a certificate or diploma issued by the SNU.
